Stuttering accel
Hey guys, just got my ultra cheap (and new) gen one for $17CAD anyways, steering is great but, the motor seems to be jumpy. I mean I hold forward and the remote and you can hear the motor revving and not revving. Just wondered if you could help me... thanks
Andrew
EDIT: now this is weird. I figured out that if I hold the "gas butten at just under full it works fine both ways.... odd

Sounds like interference, although could be the brushes...
First up, check that the antenna isn't touching the motor whatsoever, in fact, you may even want to mount it farthest away from it too..
Check that the Caps on the motor are still there, These are usually small orange circles, with metal legs, and one black resistor?... If not, you might want to stock up on them.. I'm not sure what ones they use.
Secondly, check the brushes in the motor, open up the can, if the brushes are very warn, or defective, you can order a new set, best to just order a new motor, though.
I'm sure somebody else here can help more than me, but that's what I thought of straight away.

No, no, it's not the range, but thank you. I notice that even if the car doesn't drive forward, I can still steer it. Thanks for the input. when I say just under full throttle, I mean like one percent of the throttle trigger is out. Just might have to put in some filler or something to stop it from going that last, tiny, little bit. Thanks
Andrew
