Help: Jury-rigging a Gen 1 Front Lock Plate / Body Mount

So, RS maintains their "no RSU for Gen 1" policy, and I've been unable to find a source for Gen 1 lock plates. I cracked my Camaro lock plate a while back through, well, we'll call it shenanigans. (6-cell + stationary object = crunch)

I found that I ordered a spare Camaro body way back when, but no spare lock plate for the front.

I poked around the forum, but didn't find guidance even using the arcane "Search" technology that eludes so many.

Anybody got success stories with jury-rigging one of these body plates?

just screw extra bits of plastic to the existing lip.

you can raise or lower it, extend it or if it's too long cut it shorter.
