i waver servo problem

Post by betty.k »

i got me a problem. the steering is twitching madly, even thrashing wildly back and forth. fresh batt's all round, i did the paper shim trick, nothing's broken or installed incorrectly. i've even tried a cap across the terminals of the servo motor and twiddling the pot for the steering on the pcb but nothing seems to help. this happen to anyone else? what do i do? it seems to twitch to the right.

I had the same problem.. it turned out the crystal in the car wasn't seated very well. Took it out, flipped 'er around and it worked great. That was just before I made SuperFly's iWaiver explode by tapping it from behind (that's what she said)... he got the ultra-rare iWaiver Pinto.

LOL, you shoulda seen it. I got to drive my new iWaver that I waited for weeks to get for about 7 minutes before hue35 rear-ended me (always the person in back's fault), busted the body clips off both sides, the body flies off, H-plate snaps and the motor goes into shorted-out full throttle into a brick wall. Boom, done. Now I gotta wait another week or so to get some new H-plates before I can drive it again. I can see how these will be cool, however my xmod still owns, and I had to drive that for the rest of the evening.

The real interesting thing is the weight difference. The xmod is substantially heavier. I have mine set up with a stage 2 motor, bearings, suspension tweaks, soft tires. Hue's iWaver had the Perfection Escalation motor, soft xmod tires and stiff springs up front. I think my xmod was noticably quicker and faster, but the iWaver could go through the corners faster and keep a faster line going. My xmod would haul down the straights, but I'd have to brake hard and drift the back end out to make the corner. Anyway, we had some good racing, even though hue destroyed my new car.
