motor resistor questin

Post by micromatch »

on the resistors on the motor there is to rated either 103 or 104 i have 104 resistors on my x-speed pro in a auldey bb can, would the 103 resistors hurt any thing if i put them on? and also, do the resitors have to be soldered to the can. cant i just solder them together? cause the bottom one keeps on coming off from hitting the ground

thanks!

those little thingies are capacitors. if you ran a motor without them your range would die by about 90%. motors cause radio interference that screws with your radio, the capacitors "filter" this noise.
they should have the numbers "103" or "104" on them, 103 being the best.
basically you want 2 caps soldered from each terminal to the can.
i used to be cool
