FET required for x-mod too or just mini-z?

Post by pimptothemax »

might do this on my x-mod but was just wondering if i would need better fets. i know that the page to buy the motor says *fet req. for mini-zs* but what about x mods?

also, would i need and/or a heatsink?

thx

you may not need FETs for the new Xmod EVO but definately for the OG Xmod.

heat sink is always a plus. But since it's an old one, you'll need fets. Goto www.woahnelly.com and take a look at the turbos there. That is a good option. Ph2t would be the best one to answer you as he has/had an Xmod EVO. He burned it up with a hot motor but I'm not sure which one. Do some searching, either here or over on ausmicro is where it's posted.

I was thinking that only aplied to mini-zs and not the xmods. I had heard somewhere that a triple stack of 4562 on an X would cause a stutter under hard acceleration, but the Zs wouldn't suffer this problem.

just do a 2x2 stack on the xmod, you can't fit any higher anyways.
