Went to my LHS yesterday and picked a Firelap 04. So I finally own one hehe.
Love it so far, but I gott say, it aint neear fast enough or powerfull enough yet!!
Here is where I turn to yoo guys for advise
I got no charger or anythin as of yet, and all my old stuff is still in Alberta. So I needz ta get some new stuff
Crazydave: You got those 700mah NiMH ones from toyeast right? Would you highly recoment them? if you which charger and all that jazz would you recommend? Or if anyone has any other batt ideas, please let me know. I cant leave this thing stock for too long. It just aint right!
Same goes for FET's and any other performance mods, I have never done a FET mod before, so I know minimal bout them

Don't go for a FET upgrade just yet. Get used to driving it (unless you've been in R/C already) and go for some nice batteries and a motor once you're ready.
The batteries I'm using seem pretty nice to me. I haven't tested them back-to-back to other batteries, but these will do for now. I'm using the Energizer 30minute charger and the same batts that came with the charger.
If you really want more speed, go for the Kyosho X-Speed, and if thats still not enough, get someone (LHS) to do a FET upgrade and to stick the best motor they can order in.

I wile back I posted THIS
Great bats. 950Mah AAA's
Cost me about $17 but that was worth it for 12 AAA when I can pay $8 or more for a 4 pack.
Get you a good charger by Energizer at a walmart and you will be all set.
