DIY: $10 (or less) lightbox for nice product pics!

Got a question about painting or decals? Using an air brush or rattle cans? Wanna learn how to paint flames and take a good picture of it? It's all in here.

Here's another tip to go along with that:

Use a tripod and stop your lens down, and if it's a zoom lens, set it to it's longest (most telephoto) setting and back up from the subject.

Can we get this stickied in the photography section?
I plan on doing this, but I haven't read it in full yet. I'd like it to be an easy find for my comp photos :-o

This thing works wonders. The pics come out so great. Just the right amout of shine off the surface without blinding the camera :-o

Here's mine:

The box doesn't need to be square, I've found that a nice wide box allows for more photo angles. And tall enough is good enough.

Now All I have to do is get a better camera, with a higher MPx count, I'm currently on 4MPx.

Thanks for sharing the tut Namuna

great work!

i made one too. i used baking paper on mine but i was contemplating using tissues or toilet paper, they'd work well.
i also stuck some white paper on the flaps to reflect more light in.

i used it to take pics of my topless entry. i used 2 lamps, one above and one on the right hand side.
