water slides-faux tattoos

Got a question about painting or decals? Using an air brush or rattle cans? Wanna learn how to paint flames and take a good picture of it? It's all in here.

water slides-faux tattoos

Post by civicsr2cool »

are the fake tattoos just water slides? because i ordered some USMC seal tattoos that i want to use on my phone after i finish painting it.
i know u can clear coat over the waterslides, so is it safe for these tattoos?

i know a few of the modders hear have used them before, so i hope someone can help.

I saw a tip in the RC mag on using tattoos, so I guess they will work.

They are probably similar to waterslide decals, except they are backwards, meaning the printing faces the backing paper, and they are transparent, so you have to use white, or a very light color under them.
...crazy man, crazy...dig it.

Several years ago I hung around a model building forum, and a lot of the Lowrider guys were using the temp. tattoos for graphics. Just be careful when applying, and remember to clearcoat over them.
