Ultra Lo-Pro soles for me new shoes.
I used pens for everything on my alloys.
I cut down some pen tips to make bushings to adapt the new wheels to my axles.

And then my 10mm rims are way too wide to allow the car to turn, so I made some lo-pro tires out of pen grips. I used a thinner section with lines on it for the front, and the a thicker slick piece for the rears.
If anyone wants to try this, I used a Pentel G2 mechanical pencil, because it was about 50 cents cheaper than the pens.

nice dave!
great idea on using the pen tips!
how'd that work out? just glue the axle into the pen tip?

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Yep, that's what I did. It works out great, but it was kinda a pain in the ass finding tips of the right size. I found those fancy advertising pens for prescription drugs, that nurses always have, are the perfect size, but they don't want to give those up so you gotta steal them. One of the tips I used was from a fancy Paper-Mate, so if you can find refills w/ a plastic barrel for Paper-Mate pens, those should work. Probably not the most convenient way to go about it, but it's what I had around, and they're the perfect size.CaboWabo wrote:nice dave!

Oh yeah, and I'm using the narrow part that fits into the barrel for the bushings.

Thanks, they are nice and low.payaso wrote:Those tires are the shit dood... They look nice and low. How's the grip on em?
Are they sticky or hard?
silla
Get this, they're sticky, and hard. They're not like plastic hard, just firm, but they grip great.
Using the section with the lines looks cool in the front, because it reminds me of the dirt oval cars, that you see in the neighborhood around here alot.

Well, I'm glad you guys like it, but you know, I was just in hurry to mount my alloys, and did whatever I had do, with whatever I had around.
@Nox, sorry man, I wasted bunch of ink and threw it away, but I saved the mechanical pencils by slipping some hard clone tires I never use over them to make new grips, and gave them to my wife.
...and I'm not too sure I ever have a clear head. It's just when you have so many crazy ideas floating around up there, some of them actually come out and work.
