Get a bottle of Castrol Super Clean at the auto parts store... soak the body in that shit for about 30 minutes to an hour. Use a toothbrush to gently scrub away the paint... this stuff will not hurt the plastic and it will remove all of the paint. You may have to repeat the process or soak longer if you've built up a ton of paint... when the paint is removed, wash it really well with liquid soap and water. The problem with using thinner is that it will eat the plastic if you aren't fast enough... even if you are fast, it does soften the surface a little bit. I'd only use thinner for small touch-ups... use CSC for full-on removal.
