Crackalackin

Post by Finks »

Was working on a paint job for a zip using brush on touch up paint. Was happier than a pig in shit that it went on smooth as all get out with no streaking. Fast forward a week later, took her out of my box to do the detail work and what do ya know, she cracked all over on me. Is it just me or does this strike you odd. Had not done a clear coat yet and still I get this result.

Also, as far as fixing it figured the best way would be to use the same paint but delute it with testors thinner. Seems like a good idea, but if that sounds like a big no no, tell me now before I do it tonight.

I hear ya, thing is I am doing a mod of my neighbors Trans Am, and he had this touchup paint just sitting there, so I was like, what the hell.
