So you use the Enamel not the Acrylic. Any reason for that choice?
I've been using Krylon Acrylic Clear Gloss myself.

Are you sure you bought the clear gloss not the clear satin?

I usually put two to three coats one also for the look I want.

I do one good coat of Model Master and I get a sheen like you wouldn't believe.

The trouble I have is instead of a smooth glass finish, I get a little bumpy look. I tired doing 2-3 very light coats. Is it that I am going too light? Do I need to give it one good spray over? BTW, I use Dupli-Color Claer Coat, same company as the paint.

try the first one light, try the second coat just a little heavier, just enough to get that smoothness

Ahh5hit, Give the Model Master a try! If you don't like, you can go back to duplicolor. I've never had a problem with it except just before the can is empty, then I get a bumpy finish on the sides. But one good coat and it's done!
