fredensborg indkøbscentral you say? Hmmmm
Nope don't think I've seen that around here.
Ok, here's a quick explanation of spray paints. The stuff you get in the hardware section it usually Acrylic Enamel. Model paints are usually Acrylic Enamel. Automotive touch up paints are almost always Acrylic Laquer.
Krylon is a brand of enamel that they sell in the hardware section, and Duplicolor is a Krylon brand of laquer that they would sell in the automotive section.
So anyways long story short, Tamiya is a model company so their paint is more than likely enamel. I wouldn't know what brands are Laquer over in Europe, but I heard one of the German guys mention using Opel paint, or maybe it was just an Opel color, I don't know, but hopefully that all made some sense.

yea I primer all my bodies.
and it depends on the paint job as to what primer I use.
obviously the lighter color of primer you use, the brighter the paint on top of it will be.
typically I use white, grey, deep maroon, or black.
and the brands I use are Tamiya and Painter's Touch by Rust-oleum

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Cabo, your paint jobs are sweet. Smooth and shiny!CaboWabo wrote:Tamiya is the shizznit, that's all I use.

Do you use Tamiya spray can or bottle and an airbrush?
The reason I ask is that I've been having a problem airbrushing Tamiya. I can't get a consistant spray. Sometimes it's just right, other times it's too thick/thin causing "orange peel" texture. Might have to do with humidity and not the paint.

Anyone have the same prob???
