Masking the windows..
Hi pimps..
Yes, i have read the article and so on..
but isn't there a way that you could make maskings which fitted for each windows on a car?
fx.. I wanna print out a front window, and then i cut it out of the paper and "copy" it on some tape.. = There you go.. Some tape which fit the front window!
Hope you understand me..

Tiny RC makes these custom already.. Or did you mean to make them at home?

I prefer to use really good masking tape for my paint jobs.. Like "Pactra"TheEvo wrote:I was hoping you could print then out?
But i guess you then have to change the resolution or something?

Take a tooth pick, and go around the edges, and make sure they're nice and clean. Then you can go aroud it with a blade..
I can mask faster than putting on pre-masks..

the key is to do each stroke fluintly. dont cut half way down the crack and stop. you gota go from end to end without stopping. and if you see the tiniest bit of blemish on the edges dont be afraid to pull the tape of and do it again.
also get the 350z set from target. it is the easiest to mask that ive used so far.

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

You can also take a toothpick and a cloth (like t-shirt weight) and a little bit of thinner and clean up after painting. Heck, just soak the tip of a wooden toothpick in thinner and clean up after. The wood won't scratch the plastic.
I tried the masks from Tiny, and they are just o.k. Not a perfect fit, and like payaso, I can cut perfect fit ones out of tape in in less than 5 minutes for the whole car. Always use fresh blades and don't push too hard.

Yeah I cut the flames on glass. I made a tutorial a little while back. Check it out, you can use this technique for just about any graphic.VooDooMafia wrote:Yea the flamess is a nice job.
I take it you would have to precut the flames so you dont mess up the base coat of paint
