Quicky tut on using pen tips to mount alloys

The WD40 tube thing was only temporary for me. Plastic got soft.

OH, yeah, I guess the plastic might wear quickly.

So, where did you find the pens? I looked at an Officemax to see if they had them but didn't see that brand. I guess I'll look at the dollar store and pick up different brands and see which work best.

Man, they changed the specs slightly and they stopped fitting. Those pens used to be everywhere, I don't know now. You could check refills. Its that kind of metal tip you see on those fancy clicky pens.

Thanks, if I cant find anything I think I can make a piece of brass tubing work. I fond some with what feels like the right ID and the OD is close so I think if I put a piece in the dremel and spin it while using sandpaper I can get a nice tight fit. It might not be perfectly round when done but it should be pretty close, at least as close as the original wheel was.

Yeah, that should be easier that tearing apart a hundred pens trying to find the right size.

I was mostly thinking of how clumsy I can be...I know I'd spill the cup full of thinned ink. If I spend the energy to go to the garage it would be cool, but I'm more likely to get lazy and do it in the living room while watching tv and then dump it on the carpet.
