Is modelling putty the same as modelling clay?

probably not.
I'm guessing the clay would be more dense of a compound, probably heavier, but easier to shape.
putty would be lighter, better for "filling" and "smoothing"
clay would be better for "shaping"

I would not suggest using clay

Use puddy or epoxy. Clay will be very brittle and more then licky you will need to cure it. its good for making stationary things(pots and shit).

Here is a link to some good stuff IMO

I used putty on every single one of my body chop mods.
it's Testor's I believe, Avaiator putty, works great, sometimes dries out too quickly, but that's easily fixed by adding a single tiny drop of water.

Modeling clay will never harden, it is designed to stay pliable forever.

Modeling clay bodykits work well, actually. Just need to cover it with epoxy and then paint it.

I just got another feeling to do a bodykit.
After the suggestions in this post, unfortunately all inaccessable, I have another question.

Can I use spakle? I saw it in the hardware store for $5.

thanx for baring with me all this time.

I wouldn't use spakle dude.
it's heavy, takes awhile to dry, and for the weight - it's surprisingly weak.

leave the spakle for drywall
