couldnt you get an old used jumbo xbox controller, take a clone controller, rip out the interior of each and put the bits electronics in the xbox controller? then sodder the contacts to the buttons, close it up and have the antenna extend out of the top of the controller? that would be cool. would it work though?
and i wouldnt worry about charging if your thinking about setting up the charger, ive built a stand alone that does wonders.

well, an update. i opened both controllers and examined there internals. serious modding had to be done. and just for that kind of novelty, i wasnt gonna do it. so both controllers are back together until i decide to do it.

I have a Nikko controller that is shaped like a Playstation controller. It works with 27mhz bits. You could probably easily fit the guts of one of those in an xbox controller.

yeah dave, because the controller your talking about has those easy to solder points and contacts, while a bit controller has those wierd clicker buttons that i dont wanna rip apart. i have a few old nikko and tyco controllers, ill do some testing. thanks for bringin this thread back.

with the vast number of clone controllers out there...some being smaller than others..
one would fit.

Good point, I just thought of the MotorWorks controller. That thing is so teeny tiny, it's guts should fit in almost anything.

if it's the same one I'm thinking about (series 2), then YEA..that's small.
and it supports a 9volt batt, sweet!
