It's a sticker that was sold by a few places. I have no clue who still carries them though. :???:
You could try to do a cheese cloth dab or spray over with paint. You would spray on a dark grey on the hood then lay the cloth over it once dried fully and spray over with black. It's kinda hard to do right, and find the right weaved cloth to use.

carbon fiber decals are sold by companies that cater to the 1/25 modeling community.they are used on many places body, interior, etc.

its funny how in real life carbon fibre hoods are used to reduce weight.

but in the bit world they are used for looks and ad weight.

I missed this one while I was in Australia.

In addition to the two mentioned above, you can find carbon fiber decals at www.scalemotorsport.com in 1/43 scale.

I've used Scale Motorsport decals before and their quality is second to none.

Alternatively, pick up one of those Testor's decal kits from Wal-Mart, edit/tile/resize/etc. graphics from the above and print your own.

You can also get peel and stick graphics from a number of sources for HO-1/32-1/25 slot cars as well as some for larger scale RC cars though I would advise sticking closer to scale for best appearance.

hey

cut one of these to size-one sheet of these would make many Carbon Fiber hoods :)
