Different pullback mod

Post by payaso »

Has anyboby tried to trim down the wide wheels off the pullbacks so they're not as wide, but still wider than the original wheels? That way you could have some phatties on the back and some not so phatties, but still beefy wheels on the front. I thinks it's the schizzle dizzle...

Sweet.. Pics would be tight.. I'm all about the pics, but aren't they a smaller diameter than the backs?

nice job kwikbb...
Can you post some pics with them installed on a car...

P.S: The mod I was thinking was full pull back front wheels on a bensu clone with trueno body....
Only one word comes to my mind...DRIFT...
I'll try some day soon!

Here ya go pimp... the front's aren't on cause; #1 they're mounted to ZZ knuckles, they don't work so well on the Bit in my findings, and #2 wit the
R-Spec dem 'Phat Arse' slicks be too soft.

When straight racin' them they made the turning radius too tight and difficult to control in the wide corners. I found with the harder compound tires, I can compinsate for over-steer with acceleration/de-cceration attacks.

Cabo; Naw kid that be the 32 body from da pullback.

Here's a little trizzick that might help to change the compound from soft to hard. Sprinkle a little bit of talc or baby powder on a table and run the front tires through the powder. Make sure you got a good layer on them, then dust off the excess. This takes the grip right off kid. Mess around with it a little until you find the right combo of grip/slide..

Just keepin it real

Sorry but I have the same mod(as I show you before) in my Bensu clone and the traction is perfect! And I can go with tight turn and wide curves...The R-spec is slower(or less torque-er)than the Bensu motor?

Well in my experience with the Bits, it's either one extreme or the other... meaning either the set-ups gonna give you a 'wide' turning radius or a 'tight' one w/o having to compinsate drastically (being non-proportional is the culprit for this I believe).
I, unfortunately haven't come across a setup that satisfies both needs. You must share your secrets with us!
As far as the Bensu motors go, I don't have one so I don't know it's capabilities. I've heard though that the motors a comparable to a 2.2, which would mean it's not as kwik and does not posses the torque of an r-spec. Again this is only if it's comparable to a 2.2. *shrug

i find the most annoying thing about my bits is thefactthat it tunrs alot tighter to the right than to the left and after a while they were once straight and now they just trail off in some weird direction.

i honestly dont know how to fix the steering problems but i tell u wot, my german rims make my car turn pretty damn evenly

well sorry for my late reply but I just saw the post...

kwikbb I found these things:

It turns perfect on sharp turns if you keep the throttle on...

It turns perfect on wide turns if you leave the throttle when entering and then play quickly betwwn the throttle and the direction button...

throttle=forward button

For the bensu motor it needs two charges to run ok but It's far more torque because can climb almost 60o degree hills!

As for the tires I found that if they get a bit of dust they make the ultimate dream DRIFT machine!I can drift and do CONTROLABLE 180o inside 10cm!

What shypo says is totaly truth and I'm constantly thinking of a new steering system...I have some ideas...I hope I have someting soon!
