i still have some cyclona knuckles that have straight pins without the thread stuff on em. they are easy to insert with a little testors glue on em they stay pretty good.

Thanks payaso and crazydave, the wirecutter method worked perfectly. Under a minute for each knuckle.
I will keep trying to get the bit charg knuckles off.
Im tempted to use my friend's clone knuckles since they dont have the ridges, but i will keep trying with my knuckles

im telling all of you who cut plastic on a regular basis, get these

they are called diagonal cutters. heck the one in the pic is sold by hobbico of all people. they are the shiznit.

Those look like they would be better for the job, they have a smaller tip. My wire cutters sliced through like butta though. I was afraud i cut the pin or wheel both times i cut the knuckles but i didnt .
Hopefully i should be able to get the front bit wheels out of the knuckles tonight.

you can use clone knuckles if ya want, I've done it before - they work fine
and it's usually the pin itself that has the ridges (like ruffles and my needle nose pliers) and that's what makes em grab on to the knuckle and a biatch to pull out.

Yea, I meant that the clone knuckle wont have ridges on the pin, so i will be able to pull it out.

when i took off the front wheels i just took a screw driver flat head and put it between the knuckle and wheel and used it like a lever and it slid up than when i could grip it with my fingers i pulled them apart

Woohoo. The pin came right out using pliers to pull on the pin. I just needed ridged pliers

1.) take piece of flat wood and drill a 2-3 mm hole
2.) Place the rim on, so the axle is above the hole (wheel facing down)
3.) grab a piece of axle or small nail with the pillers, place it on the axle and "hammer" it out using a small hammer.
That is the easyest way ....

Fuck , I can't get a MS pin out , I have pulled like a fucking bitbull on crack , and I cant get it to move , I finally just cut the wheel off the pin. Now I have grabed it with pliers and twisted and turned very wich way.

I've perfected this over the years. Used to do the same thing then end up cutting the wheel
(wasn't gonna use it anyways).

See the set of picks in the white case? (bottom right)
I took the straight one (2nd from right) filed the sharp tip down to the
diameter of the axle. I have a nylon spacer (3/8 thick) from some old computer equipment
that's the same diameter as the wheel. I place it face down on the spacer, (knuckle up)
put modded pick on the knuckle where the axle comes thru, tap it a couple times
with a hammer, grab wheel and knuckle and pull apart to complete and VoiLa !! Front wheels
are still usable, Axle not bent or damaged. Replace with slip joint pliers.
