Greetings: bpimps & pimpets i am a newbie to bit pimpering, but mosdef not at tinkering. I am honored to be amongst such genious.Well as i stated i was hoping i could get some insight on how to wire my lighted zipzap body to my modified panther pcb, in a way that it would be fully fuctional such as head lights light up when moving forward and brake lights light up when in reverse..........once again i am honored to be modding with you pimpstaz any help would be well appreciated.

well since leds = diodes you can sort of do it this way. get rid of the circuit board that is in the bodies and wire the leds(in parallel) to the motor terminals. headlights one polarity and tails the other. from experience you need a dual cell to power them and they are only one when the motor has juice flowin through

Sounds good to me hogjowls, but i just cant stop thinking that the male connection just needs to be snipped off /thereby exsposing the wires, and then wired correctly to the pcb. If not what exactly is the function or purpose of that chip?

ac/dc converter. since the power coming from a bit is dc that wont work.

well no its 8am i can barely spell my own name right now. its not as neat as youd think anyhow. you are better off figuring out how to put another battery up in there.

This is actually something I've been meaning to test out.

The SE and Perfection lighting systems work the same. There is a small PCB with a transistor and resistor, to switch the lights on.

I could hook the SE's front lights to the same spots on the PCB, and they should work no prob, the only thing is the Perfection lights have four wires, and the SE lights also have four wires, but are triggereing forward and reverse lights separately, so obviously I'm gonna have issues if I just wire it up the same. Just not sure what those issues will be.

If I get a chance in the next couple days, I try to experiment with that, and post my results.
