Putty Question

Okay, I'm building a body kit for my hacked up, smashed up, beat into the ground Skyline ZZ (okay it's not that bad). I've been told from many people, that Squadron Putty is the one to use. So I got some for $2.80 on Ebay the other day brand new. It's the green variety. Well, this stuff never actually seems to harden. I put a glob of it on the body, and let it firm up a bit and shaped it a bit to the rough idea of what I wanted to create, and let it sit over night. Now it's still plyable after waiting over night! Does this stuff ever harden????

The Squadron putty I use is light grey. I'm not sure if the green is the same. It may be some other type of putty or part epoxy.

I've seen Squadron putty in gray and green and they come in tubes. I live them because they dry quick and sand easily. Epoxy putty are a two part putty (like Games Workshop's Green Stuff) that is great for molding, I use that on my Citadel/GW models for my armies I play.

But have their uses.

I also use Squadron Grey, it dries in less than an hour, never used the green. Hiroto uses a green putty but not sure of what brand. The best putty I've used and highly recommend is,,,damn the name escapes me but it's 2 parts, clay & hardner. I find it great for molding and with a lil water it can be smoothed so that minimal sanding is neccessary. I'll get the name later............ 8)

Sound's like the older Games Workshop Putty (Grey and Blue) It's currently yellowish and blue and when mixed it's green (hence the nickname green stuff).
