I bought one of those wacky Stunt Cars a while back and proceeded to take it apart as soon as I got it home. Well the body has been sitting on my worktable for months I got to looking at it the other day and said “Self can you make anything out of it?”

“Self I think I can make something” so I proceeded to start chopping it up! I then found an old PT cruiser body and removed the fenders. I then glued the fenders on the body and removed the front window. I am planning on making an old 40’s car hauler out of it. I have already got a hauler bed for it and a Simi Truck chasse. I will post updates, as I go along will see if the Turd :o can be the Word :-o ?

Ok been working on the turd and I am getting close to the end. Here is the completed sanded body (well completed to a point). I had to do a lot of filling and sanding to get the finish I wanted, I used Car paint to finish it off. I wheels on the chassis are muscle machine wheels off a Hauler truck and the back flat bed is from a HO scale flatbed truck I added some styrene to widen it to fit.

You will notice the front droops that is because the body is just sitting on the chassis I do not have the brackets done yet also the bed is just sitting on the chassis no brackets on that ether. All in all it is going better then expected I am working on the front window that will hinge and open forward like many of the old trucks had before air-conditioning.

I don’t have an idea for the front headlights yet so any suggestions would be welcome! :-)

I think the PT Lights would have looked pretty cool. Maybe you can use the fog lights at the bottom of the fenders?

WOW!

Umm as for lights, something that stick out towards the top of the grill horizontally if you catch my drift. Check out some diecasts, that turd is looking mighty fine man. :-o
