Rear Tab...?

Post by Pie »

hey all... it seems like all the modders here are a little more serious...

Anyway, anyone know how to work up some flawless putty filling-in? im looking to lower the rear of my supra by cutting into the body, but filling up the hole might be a problem....

do you just use your hands to get the putty flattened out? :-?

yea mang.
You can use regular white model putty or epoxy resins, whatever suits your needs. Probably the putty would work for what you're doing and would be quicker and easier.
Just work some of that putty in to your slot. it's okay if it bulges out, etc. we'll worry about flattening that after it hardens.
After it does harden, you can use sandpaper (use a very fine grit so you don't scratch the hell out of your body) or an x-acto blade to shave off the excess.
For what you're doing I'd go with putty and an x-acto blade.
The putty is strong enough for what you're doing, it works in well.
Then after it was dry I'd start on making small shavings with my x-acto blade to get it flush with the body.

hope that helps ya out

and welcome to da hood Pie

that's cuz there's less n00b'z here man most everyone has experience at tiny or mrcc auz micro ect...
the thing i notice with tiny is that most people have huge trouble with the simplest mods and ask a zillion questions (usually stupid) cuz they didn't do research and search to find out how the fux to do it but here most everyone runz into a prob and figures it out by them selfs then brags later also here there is much more style in the carz themselvz

ps. AMC represent

The only car wax/polish I would use is a qick wax. I use Production ShowRoom Shine, it's and Anti-Static liquid polish. Sprays on like Windex, I use this on my REAL rides after washing between waxings. I have also used this product:

I originally bought this to try to get the scratches out of my son's Gameboy screen. Read somewhere that this is what the Top Modelers use.

I've heard toothpaste hides cracks in REAL windshields.

Hey, I think we need an 'Urban Ledge' thread.

yo DT I noticed you used the link. if you wanna post the picture directly here, right click the picture and click properties see where it says Address(URL)? well, highlight that part, to right of that, this URL is 5 lines long... lol, yeah, it's long. for that pic, it should look like this: http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0PwDiArES ... 2897095560

now, what you do is just post that link inside and you should end up with this:

now ya get it? lol
