Clear Finish
Heya everyone, another question. I'm near the finish of my lowered dual exhaust black dodge hemi challegner with external motormojiggy on hood. FOr painting i use a 35 dollar Aztek Airbrush. I was wondering, for a clear finish do you think I would be able to use some clear varnish w/ the airbrush? I was thinkign the varnish might be too think, so you think it would work with some paint thinner in it? or would that just like react with the varnish and blow it up? Help?

Re: Clear Finish
It's not good mixing types of paints, some paints don't like to stick to each other, will eat the paint below, or just have a nasty chemical reaction, so I do not reccomend you use varnish. If you've been using enamels stick with enamel, if you've been using laquer, stick with laquer, and for best results try not to mix brands either.ziprc wrote:Heya everyone, another question. yea I'd think varnish would be too thick.
and using paint thinner probably isn't a good idea, could eat your plastic and/or paint.
I'd just go to a hardware or hobby store and buy a small can of clear coat.
