Your idea of Wheelbase is wrong.bigboi24 wrote:Lol, whoa, slow down, I'm not really following what your saying Ok, what do you mean by" extending the wheel base?" like making the rear axels LONGER? or what? I found out that if I do what civic said, the rear tires are gonna rub agains the chassis. I'm thinking of 2 things 1) Make the rear axles longer, or 2) cut off some of the chassis
This truck has a wheelbase of 4500mm
Your thinking of track width.

Where would the Motor Resistor be at? can you get a pic up?crazydave wrote:On the Cars ZZs, if you remove the motor resistor, its essentially dual celled. It comes with the same 2.4v battery as the SE.frizzen wrote:Unless you want to try and make *exactly* that.... You don't have to find a bit, there are Dirty Zips too.
They take the mods just as well. Plus, if you you a new gen (car, xformer) Zip, and remove the motor resistor, they'll be better suited for dirt than a Bit. Motor steering is nice. Dual cell can be installed in the tub. Easier wheel adapting.
First gen ZZs are also better for dual celling than bits, because you can hide the 2nd battery in the chassis, by flipping the PCB, keeping the center of gravity low.

This in for ZZ Cars movie and Transformers movie vehicles only!!!
Get a precision phillips screwdriver, a smaller tipped soldering iron, ROSIN CORE solder, a small blade, some patience, and atleast one reasonably steady hand.
Body off chassis,
Loosen 2 screws aft PCB cover (near motor endbell and idler gear)
Lift off PCB cover (hook at front) and slide out the antaenna
loosen screw holding pcb (aft of steering assy, fwd body lighting plug)
lift up PCB
lift out battery ***(REMEMBER DIRECTION)***
lift up the tan wire
gently slice and peel the heatshrink off
desolder both ends of the resistor
solder the tan wire to the plate the resistor once lived
Installation is antidissassemblywise.
No pics since I have to go to work in a few minutes. Search ZZ cripple resistor, should bring pics

Jack of all trades, master of none; yet often better than master of one.

Re: Anyone know how they did this?
I DID THE SAME WITH A 3RD GEN. ZZ BUT WITH THE SAME SIZE TIRES, AND SIPPED, AND ADDED LIGHTS, AND PAINTED IT...
P.S. Big thanks to betty.k for the inspiration from the dirty bits.

I love the rocket on the bottom, does it make it faster?
BTW, that's a great camouflage paint job considering how small the bodies are.

Re: Anyone know how they did this?
Haha, no, but the flames will! Just kidding. The only other thing I wanna do to this is add a paperclip black bumper and lather up the PCB in liquid electrical tape. I wish I could take credit for that camo, but that is how that one came. I am yet to paint any bodies other than my Willy's ZZMT in progress. I painted extra details like the gas cans and the rims and belly. I painted the bottom because the 3rd gen mixed with those tires makes it pop wheelies like a mofo. Without the body it would flip backward on itself. When I shaved off the rear motor screw housing, it allowed it to do proper wheelies. Thought it would be cool to see the rocket when she wheelies- like a beast!sidewinder wrote:I love the rocket on the bottom, does it make it faster?
