Front end slop help?

Post by extrememicros »

Yo,

I just finished a project where I turned a zz into a stadium truck, to be painted soon like my first truck back in the day.

I used my 3 cell car with an EM 3.5 in it for power, but the front end is so wishy washy, that when it goes forward, it will occasionaly just break right or left. I think the return spring is not strong enough to hold the wheels in place.

You guys have any suggestions as if I can get the steering worked out, I'll start building a simulated dirt track to run on with jumps and banks.

Think a stronger piece of metal for the return spring would help? With the 3.6 volts running through it, the turning is VERY strong and I think it would still turn with a stronger spring....

Any ideas? Thanks

Holla

I tried dual springs, I tried an earth magnet, I tried suspension springs too and with all this my monster truck still has "wishy washy" steering. I'ld try the stronger metal spring, might do the trick. Suspension springs helped too. Rare earth magnet made no differance.
Good luck. :-)

one time stridex on trc posted a pic of a front end that he put foam stuff in and removed the spring altogether.
