Big Lots Thunder Charger Battery Swap
It all starded yesterday wheni went to my new shcool orientation and saw a perfect place to have races with our bits it is like 25-30 ft long just enough to drag races since a querter mile for bits are 20 feet anywayz i came home and charged (on TC charger stand) my TC batt and tested it with my dads voltage tester and it was 1.415 volts then i changed the batt to a tomys batt and charged (on TC charger stand) and it was 1.580 volts
it not that much but it sure gave a boost to my TC
tell me what you guys think and if it gave your car a boost

I always check the voltage of the batteries after I've charged them, and I've found the same as you, the Tomy's have a slightly higher voltage when first charged.
The reason for that is because the Tomy's are NiCds, and nearly all the aftermarket, ZZ, and clone batteries are NiMH. If you search around the internet, and do some reading on rechargable batteries, you should see that its common for NiCds to have a higher peak voltage, but NiMh maintain a more consistant voltage throughout your run, all batteries will read more than the 1.2 rating, that's just an average voltage
The effect on your car should be almost unoticeable, except the NiCds will slow down sooner, but with that in mind, I consider Tomy's my drag racing batteries, and my others for road racing.
Another theory that I have, that has not been scientifically proven, but seems true in my experience, is that batteries punch harder the closer they are charged to their fullest capacity, since the stock Tomys are 50mah, and many clones, such as the Thunder Charger use 110mah, that when you just do a timed charged, the 50mah cell, is being charged closer to capacity.
Like a I said, the difference is minimal, these are just some crazy theories i like to run with.
