Ph2t,
You mentioned that the perf 4.2 king went less than3/4 of the 2 3.8's
Do you think the reason for that is that its a king 4.2 on a booster pcb and the 4.2 pro might be faster since it is made for booster cars?

sorry man, not sure how I missed this one - anywho...ph2t wrote:Thanks for the info man. With the bitcharg motors 3.8, have you put that in a fet modded chassis with the high speed gear set (green)? I take it the EM3.8 gets to it's top speed before the the bitchargmotors 3.8 does?CaboWabo wrote:I say yes, buy one and try it.
I love EM's Vanquish, that baby is what I run my dual cell and it's the fastest car I've got.
now... the bitchar-gmotors - I got from kyle way back when - before EM was around.
and kyles motors were my favorite until I found the Vanquish... actually it still kinda is.
I use the Vanquish for a perfect mix of power and speed.
I use kyles 1.6 for straight balls to the wall torque.
I use his 2.6 as a general motor, nice torque and good speed.
I use his 3.8 to just fly at top speeds.
thanks dude,
ph2t.
nope, haven't put it (either) in a zz at all (no fet to make it worth while).
I'd have to say, for sure the Vanquish gets to top speed before the BCGMotors 3.8
however, the Vanquish is just a pussy hair slower than the BCGMotors 3.8 in top end
but, the Vanquish is a more powerful motor (torque), and for the trade offs, I like the Vanquish better - especially for my typical driving habits
I hope Todd (extrememicros.com) sticks around at least as a wholesaler because the vanquish is either 1st or 2nd on my list of best motors
Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Well just running it will help break it in. Part of the idea of running it with no load, is to cut back on wear, but mostly it's to let it hit that higher RPM, and maintain it at a consistant speed, to break it in faster. In 1/10 scale we broke our motors in with a slave motor. I would imagine the same could be applied here. At any rate the idea it to wear in that metal bushing without wearing out the rest of the motor in the process.hue35 wrote:I'm gonna try that... I've heard y'all talkin' about breaking in motors, but I've never done it. If I've run several laps (a couple of charges) with that motor, is it too late or will it still help to break it in?crazydave wrote:Have you tried taking the pinion off, and running down a couple batteries with no load to help break it in? that really seems to help with high RPM, low torque motors.
