any type of micro plug connection for charging deez bits?

any of you guys come up with a decently small plug connection for charging a Bit? It's like this, I have my own home cooked charger and I am getting dam sick of trying to make my ride absorb power through these stupid little metal contacts on the bottom of the car-- anyone adapt something else--some kind of plug system? any pics or ideas would be swell!

I haven't tried it yet, but here's what I'm gonna do.

Get one of these pin and socket connectors from Mouser Electronics.

It's a strip of several pins and sockets, usually used on PCBs, but you should be able to cut it down into pairs of pins and sockets, to make little micro plugs.

You got it, wish they had some pics on that item Crazydave, probly something I should pirate out of my last cdrom player--tons of interconnects in there.

Where you gonna place the pin connector on the chassis? under the car right after the rear axle eh?

Actually there was a pic, click the pdf file towards the bottom of the description.

As for mounting I was thinking in that 1/10th scale frame of mind, and I was going to hard wire some wires to the battery, and have the plug just comimg out above the PCB, but now that you mention it, it would be better to mount it somewhere where you don't have to take off the body.

Behind the rear axle is a good idea, that's where ph2t mounted his dip switch on/off switch, and that seemed like a good out of the way spot.

I got one of those weird stunt Micro's and it has a little plug you plug the car onto the charger with. Its pretty kool. You could adapt that system.

Yep, did it, cracked the case on an old cd rom and found parts a plenty in there. took one of the pin connectors and epoxied it right behind the rear axle (like pht2s dip switch of course).

I kind of had to do this mod, you guys understand how one mod leads to another, I knew I didn't have to explain.
