Pull
Arite browsed/searched the forums and didn't find anything about fixing the pull (usually to the left) on my bits. I have MSs, clones and Zips and all of these little mothers need an alignment. Now before you say anything of course I know about the little adjustment bar, and also about the magnet inside the chassis. Does anyone have a tutorial on how to have my rides going straight and true? W/ the little adjustments I have made they drive fine for free racing, but if I am gonna put em on a track I want these babies to be on rails.

I don't know if there's a tutorial as general as "how to make steering good," but there's some things you might try to solve you problems.
For me, turning problems usually come in two main varieties: pulls to one side or the other, or turns tighter in one direction than the other.
I have to go to work right now, but I'll write some more on this later.

if its a case of power unblalance, i.e one way is tighter than the other there are four important factors:
1: steering magnet alignment needs to be near perfect, check it and see if it is loose in its mount also, i have had one look solid but the magnet had a bit of play in it resulting in sloppy response to one side. a good fix is glue, also you can cut out small circles of thin plastic and glue them over the magnet to strengthen the perfected position.
2: fluff in the front wheels, got pets? girlfreind has way too many clothes? are you a hairy mutha?
needle headed tweezers are the best for removing fluff and hair from the nuckle pins. older bits might need a total dissassembly in order to get the built up teeeny fluff from inside the rims.
3: rear axle play can create more power to one direction when steering. to check, grab the car and wiggle the axle from side to side. fixes: the dual flat headed screw motor angle mod, adding a bit more to the idler gear on the inside or adding a bit more to the spacer on the rear axle.
4: the hardest one to remedy is steering wires touching before they get to the coil. this has made some of my bits be total bitches. if you cant fix the steering out of the pack brand new without using the adjuster bar this could be your problem. about the only way to fix this is by using a fine paint brush (new and dry) gently run it along any areas you think are making contact untill it looks better.
hope that helps!!
