no sorry, I haven't...
but I'm guessing there's nothing you could "cut out" on the inside of the chassis to make the fit?

scuff the ends of the battery with sandpaper or something, just enough to "roughen" it up. You could also use some soldering paste to help it adhere. I was having the same troubles.

heres some pointers.
1) depending on the body you are using there are two ways to ad another cell.
a) dremel or cut out the rear window so it is just large enough to shove half the battery through it so it rests above the heatsink. this will make her do wheelies but make her a little harder to control.
b) put the extra cell so its resting against the screw that holds the front end together and put the pcb over it so it kinda slopes down halfway over the heatsink. this method gives you better handling and acceleration. also no cutting this way.
c) gut out the battery compartment and squeeze both in side to side or both vertical. this will let you lay the pcb flat but who really cares as long as it works? ive never done this but im sure it will offer better handling.
2) soldering is not as hard as you think i swear. getting solder to stick is a little tricky but once you do it a few times it doesnt take any effort at all. as cabodoggydogg says sandpaper will give more surface area for the stuff to stick to.
a) clean off the tip of the iron with the wet sponge(this is key to good soldering). apply a small blob of solder onto the tip(make it big enough so it will have enough mass to come off the tip). barely touch the blob to the battery and lift quickly and hopefully the blob will stay on the battery not the iron. reapeat until it does. let the blob cool on the cell until it hardens(5-10sec). take your wire. clean the tip again. put some more solder on the tip. take the end of the wire and poke it through the blob so the tip of the wire is coated in solder(this is called tinning). always tin parts before you solder. clean the tip again. ad fresh solder to the tip. lay the tinned part of the wire against the blob you laid on the cell earlier. drop the fresh solder over the wire and apply pressure until its all liquid and pull the iron away and wait 5-10sec again. blowing on it helps as well.
blah blah leme know if i missed anything.

I've never used a shen before, but whatever QFM sells (those ones for $5 that are stripped, just chassis and rx) are a bitch to work with. They fall apart when ya open them up, the wires are just barely soldered on, and the steering is pretty iffy. I give up on clones, i might just remove everything and figure out how to shove cells inside the tub so i can do it to a real MS later. Don't know about shens though..
