Ok, I know I'm dragging up an old thread but I've really gotten into my daul cell monster bit fet modded beast and now I'm looking for the fastest motor possible.

Some observations:

The EM3.8 is the best motor in this beast. At 50% speed the car runs quite fast and is comparable to a single cell 3.0-3.5. At 100% speed (boost) this car just flies! I cannot say it enough how fast it goes.

I tried the perfection 3.8 in this same car and I found the performance comparable. I couldn't really tell if it was a bit slower or not but I *think* the perfection didn't run as fast in 50% speed mode as the EM38 vanquish motor did. Still in 100% boost the machine flys again!

I then tried the perf 4.2 King in this beast and I noticed that the top speed was crap! This is in 50% speed mode. The top speed in this mode was less than 3/4 the speed of the 3.8's (EM and perf) in 50% mode. When I went to 100% mode id did pick up speed but not to the same level as the 3.8's.

So my question is this: should I buy the bitchar-gmotor from tinyrc? Is this motor the fastest motor out there?

I say yes, buy one and try it.
I love EM's Vanquish, that baby is what I run my dual cell and it's the fastest car I've got.

now... the bitchar-gmotors - I got from kyle way back when - before EM was around.

and kyles motors were my favorite until I found the Vanquish... actually it still kinda is.

I use the Vanquish for a perfect mix of power and speed.
I use kyles 1.6 for straight balls to the wall torque.
I use his 2.6 as a general motor, nice torque and good speed.
I use his 3.8 to just fly at top speeds.

Hey ph2t, what are the specs of that car? I got the Dual cell part. Is it just a straight-up mosfet mod, or are they stacked? Also, what gears? And finally, what chassis did you start with?... just curious.

Thanks for the info man. With the bitcharg motors 3.8, have you put that in a fet modded chassis with the high speed gear set (green)? I take it the EM3.8 gets to it's top speed before the the bitchargmotors 3.8 does?

thanks dude,

Well, according to Micro_amps, my stock ZZ with a DKS 3.4 ran at 3.07 mph. After stage 2 FETs (I thought that I might as well and pony up the extra cash), 4.74 mph. Then, he dropped in a 4.2. That ran at 6.67 mph. The DKS 3.4 is actually running at 31,xxx rpms, according to Namuna. So, a 4.2 should put out around 42k, I think. Here's the math:

31/4.74=6.540084388
6.540084388*6.67=43.62236287

That's my shoddy math for 'ya, but the only way to know for sure is an RPM test. Ahem...

Edit: That's with 9.86 gears.

hey man, the specs are as follows:

Lxx 1st gen booster PCB, 57Mhz
fet modded drivetrain (single stack) and fet modded steering
daul 200mah batts
TOMY chassis
triple steering spring
frontend spring suspension
TOMY high speed gear set (green ones)

you can see pics and the full developement thread at ausmicro:

http://www.ausmicro.com/topic.asp?TOPIC ... +Technical

basically this is the most fun car I have and I want to make it fast as hell!

thanks for that info dude, it's always good to get greater awareness of what's happening out there.

For me though you can do all the tests you want, the bottom line is landspeed. What speed does the car go when it's actually in use. At the moment without any equipment to be able to ascertain exact land speeds one can only go on the visual "perception" of how fast the car is traveling.

Exactly. It's all about the power to weight ratio. Once I get my car back (it got shipped a couple of days ago), it's getting a dual cell. The goal with the car is to outrun an X-Mod. I dunno if it can be done, but I sure as hell will try!

Edit: Arrggghhh, I keep on forgetting to write stuff. Anyway, ph2t, how do you make bit rear suspension?

I haven't pulled off rear suspension on my bit yet. I will soon though. Here's a link that will help:

http://www.bitpimps.lixlink.com/pages/p ... php?t=2841

At ausmicro there's a few users really getting into this rear suspension mod. You should go there to check it out. www.ausmicro.com

This thread is going a little bit off topic now, lol......

Sorry, I just had to ask you about that. Back to the motors! Anyways, I'd really would like to know how fast a 4.2 is turning.

That's cool, no sweats :)

Sorry but I don't really understand what you mean by this:
I'd really would like to know how fast a 4.2 is turning.
You mean how fast it runs? Or the turning circle on a Bit when it's running on a 4.2?

I have noticed that a 4.2 works better on a smooth running surface (ie, floorboards) than other motors. The 4.2 hasn't got the torque of a 3.8perf or a 3.8EM. I run a lot of my cars on the blue gear set. With it's 12:1 ratio they are the best for transferring the highest acceleration possible from the tyres to the ground.....
