What's up with the frequencies on the Super Bits?

I noticed there's 27A, 27B, 40B, 40C. Does that mean that I can get a 27mhz one and race it with my other 27mhz? Dark Tari you'll have to answer this one for us, since I know you have them.
It doesn't matter too much to me because I want either the Jota, or the Ferrari, and they're both the 40mhz, but I am curious because I have an overwhelming amout of 27mhz cars. Be nice if say I could get the 27B, and have another option.

You can race a 27A, 27B, 27C all at the same time. In theory. Thats what Tomy says, I dont have any so i havent tried it, but i would think that they wouldnt claim it if it didnt work.
Im not for sure how it would work with an existing 27mhz. I dunno if that voice the a,b,c and c, or if a standard 27mhz is just 1 letter.... I guess well have to wait till someone has tried it.

i ordered one yesterday. it looks like they released a new chip that handles different modulations or something so probably.

Tru Dat Cavey,
You can use the 27mhz TX to control any of the a,b or c cars, but it won't control any of the old 27 freq. The range on the 27's suck big time, less than 5ft. My 40mhz gets 30'+.

can you run the new 27s along with the old 27s? or do they cancel eachother's signals out?

I'm a little confused. When you say you can use the controller for any of the a,b, or c cars, does that mean the controller has like a A,B, or C switch? Or am I not getting it.
Maybe it will simplify things if I just say; can I race a new 27mhz car with an old 27mhz, without them interfering with each other?
Good to hear that the 40mhz works good, bummer about the 27mhz.
Thanks for the info DT.

I think I remember DarkTari mentioning the a,b,c switch on the controller in the thread he first posted the new cars in.

Yeah U can. The A,B & C tx signals are modulated (?) different so it won't interfere with an older 27 / 40mhz car.
There is an ABC switch on the back of the Tx. The 2 you ordered are B & C the cool thing about it is that you can use the same controller for both without running the other.

cool. or if one car flips over you can send the other one out to knock it back on it's wheels without havin to grab another controller.

Hey, good idea! Now I need to get 2 super bits, or maybe 4.

so, if i bought a new 27/a/b/c/mhz super bit char-g, could i use the super bit char-gs controller to control any of my old 27mhz chassis?

No.

When you see a frequency rating (like 27MHz), it's like seeing gas prices (like $1.59 per gallon).
If you look closer at the gas prices, it's actually $1.5999 (they cut the rest at the end). It's the same for the Frequencies. I believe (someone more savvy with frequencies can verify) that the original Bits with 27MHz are actually 27.00MHz.
The new ones like 27a, b, c and so on are probably something like 27.14 or 27.55 or whatever.

my guess(no hardcore evidence to back it up cuz i dont have my damn countache yet) is that it they send a different modulation code. think about all the interference you get with even a 49mhz and 27mhz. i cant see how that would work with 27.1 27.2 and 27.3
ill try to do testing when it comes.

I pulled the crystal ou tof my 27mhx zipzap and also out of my 27 mhz ms sport and they both were 27.145. So this is prolly the standard 27 freq. and th eabc are prolly different "decimals" than this.
