could their be a program to drive an opponet car if your the only one there
so it is sorta like racing aganist the computer the nox box would run a program so you could both go and race each other and the computers car would have one line that it always used and you could race

Just buy the noxbox, it already does all that.

not selling them anymore...but yea...just enter the routine you want the car to perform and hit DRIVE.
Hog, Cabo, Payaso, could you do it?
meaning, is it doable?

well, to a degree...
here's the problem
as you drive your car, obvisouly charge goes away, the car tends to slow bit by bit.
the noxbox runs on a timing system.
so if you say go straight for 3 seconds, the hit the left button for 1 second and go straight again for 4 seconds, now on a full charge that might work perfect for you.
however, as charge wears down, it takes just a little bit longer for the car to reach its first destination, so maybe it would need 5 seconds instead of 4 seconds to reach the first turn then do the turn for 1 second.
there's noway to compensate for that variable.
the only way I could see this being done is if the track and the car constantly talk to eachother... if you build that - you're rich.

well what if you made it all on the car and not remote controled. take out the pcb and replace it with one that will read the road and follow a black line slowing down the motor for turns and shit. you could have a little black line down the track that stays between two light sensors on the right and left hand sides of the car. if the right one detects the black line (car's veering to the left) then it slows the motor and taps the steering right for a millisecond at a time till both sensors are detecting white.

what Dpig says is also doable and is already done.
mail transports in building follow a painted line in the hallways.
Infrared sensors on the side of a track with a "reading" car could work.

oh yea, ph2t lives with dragons - I forgot lol
there's some battle bots that do this too.
they essentially layout an electronic grid around them and somehow are able to tell what object is an obsticle and what object is another bot it needs to go kill

How friggen cool would it be to have a semi intelligent bit?
I'm sure some of those cats into robotics could come up with a system. Or our very own electronics gurus here could probably do a lil fishing in some robotics forums/sites and come up with something.
Damn I wish I was intelligent.

it's such a simple concept just the electronics are beyond me (there probably not that complex either)
