Right now i have a MS pro with pullback wheels, a 200mah perfection battery and a perfection 4.2 battery. I want more speed.
I have one new, and one used stock tomy battery, and i wanted to do a dual cell mod(i have no soldering skills though, im willing to try though). the 4.2 wouldnt work too well in a dual cell would it? I have a new 2.2 i was thinking about using.
I have a bit charg chassis that im willing to chop up to do the dual cell mod. Are they any tutorials on the internal dual cell? I will look around now...
now im thinking about doing the laymans dual or tri cell. Probably the dual cell. I heard these batteries cant put out as many...Amps i think it was. Will this be a problem? What will it reduce, torque?

why do u say u wouldnt think a 4.2 be good wit a duel cell?

yea why do you say a duel cell wont be good with a 4.2

4.2 will work with a Duel cell I have done it.

I thought the higher number motors burned out faster with more voltage.
Will my car flip a lot with an external dual cell?
Im afraid to do the internal dual cell, and i heard the laymans dual cell doesnt have as much power.

external duel cell will flip, laymens has less runtime.

Aren't the tomy batteries 80 mah? If so, why not just use the 200 mah battery?

I've never found a better battery than the 150's.
all the batts I've tried that are over, just increase run time, but not juice.
the stock batts aren't enough, the 160's I tried are no where near putting out what the 150's do, they put out less, just for a longer period of time.

Hmmm.... a 42000 motor is 42000, but a dual celled 22000 is 44000....so I'd say dual cell the 2.2. You may want to operate an internal dual cell with the 2.2 or 4.2, but I'd suggest the Layman's dual cell mod, and peak charge it. It won't have much torque, so use the 9.86:1 gearing and the 2.2 motor to make up for it. Good luck! BTW, there are 4.8 motors coming to the stores soon, check this:

Honestly, I had a 4.2 in one of my dual cell cars ( I took out the R-spec motor that was there before) The car was actually slower than it was with the R
If you want true speed, go with dual cells and a FET mod.
As far as chopping the chassis, you don't need to. Two batts will fit in the chassis if you lay them side by side with the +- facing the front and rear of the chassis

a 4.2 or a 2.2 in a dual cell?? the same answer as a 4.2 or 2.2 in a single cell.
duh the 4.2!!
and your answer for "does a dual cell flip?"
hell ya it does even with a 1.6 tomy motor a dual cell is gona flip over. with a 4.2 in it its gona hit walls and bounce.

The internal dual cell is harder to perform than the normal dual cell.
Plus if you dont have the skill just stich with the 4.2. There wouldnt be much difference in speed anyway.
