what exaclty is a fet?

fet is short for MOSFET which is short for metal oxide semiconducter field effect transistor.... which basicly is a transistor that has a really low resistance so when you replace the stock transistors with fet's you're car goes faster due to the more power that is let threw it...

thx and ummm in simple form is it... stock=high res and mod Fets = low res?
