i bought a bunch of clones to mod and add to my previous bit collection, i had about 3 clones of the same kind before these and they worked fine. I bought a subaru, the rx7, and a hummer. now when i put the rx7 or the hummer on any charger, it just makes the charging light dimly glow. all the chargers have freshly bought duracell AAs and it seems to be the cars. Im no idiot with the technical side of bits, so i popped it open and looked at the contacts and the battery connection, looks ok. WHATS WRONG! that hummer rocked! thanks guys~~

I usually only get dimmed lights when batteries are too low.
I know you said it has fresh batts, but that's the only time I've seen the light go dim.
Its possible you have a short or bad connection somewhere as well.

when you have no car on the charger, but push a button like you were turning the car or something, is the light just as dim as when you try to charge the car?

yes its very bright when i push the buttons when the car isnt on. when i put the car on, the dim light shows up, then if i press i button the dim light turns into the normal bright one but still no charging.

Right now i just really want to know what happened, looks like i fixed it by opening it up and really just yanking around the pcb and pulling the wires lightly and it worked, but then it stopped working a few minutes later, also when i run one into a wall, or bump something, (like the leg of a chair) it just dead stops, no operation. then i have to charge it again. even when it bumps at the very begining of a charge.

i fixed the hummer too, but now i have hellish problems with steering.

I havent used that car for a while, so i putted some new batteries in.

yup, sounds like a short somewhere.
make sure wires are connected well.
make sure wires aren't crossing over and tangling with other wires.
make sure your battery is seated properly.
make sure your pcb isn't smashing the wires and battery below.
make sure your pcb has a little room to play, it doesn't like tight situations.

I think i found the problem - it seems the car wont drive because the battery starts to corote.

Do i need a new battery?

I dont need a new battery.

I turned the pcb 360 degrees, so that the wires didnt interfere.

The car works now - thansk CW!
