ZipZap SE Custom Parts Wish list
Hello all.. no wait, Hey Homies, I popped over from tiny r/c. Fist post. Though I have been reading through your forums through this last week.
This thread is a copy of the one I posted there. Its to let any small custom cad shops get an idea of what to sell is so inclined (if they read these forums).
In order of importance
1. A fiberglass composite chassis with adjustable tab mounts, and lowered motor mount (lower center of gravity).
2. A aluminum or composite steering rod/gear to replace the plastic one (which "bends" during suspension travel). Also is curved slightly on the back near the knuckles to allow greater turning.
3. Easy access to the yokomo maru diff assembly/kit. (I thought I heard these could work on bits/zz).
4. Composite precise steering knuckles that increase the suspension travel/allows use of bit springs.
5. "Snap on" shims for rear axle alignment/play reduction.
Out of these:
1. would be a godsend. I would pay up to $20 for something like that.
2. Very important! I would say up to $6.00
3. Again, I though I read these are compatible, but finding yokomo parts is hard enough, without trying to find all the different part numbers needed to get the rear end (plus the new idler gear).
4. Very nice to have, but not as needed. $6 with new springs. Or $4.60 it is was just a better composite replacement.
5. Just an idea. Not too important, but it can help make the car a bit more precise/reduce gear wear. $2.00 for set.
On a separate wish that doesn't deal with a shop:
Someone to figure out and post the correct fet installation!
What do you think? Any hopes or agreement/disagreement?

I got an email from Brian of R/C Butlers (they are making alot of aftermarket items for the xmod on ebay).
"Hi,
Not shure if we would be interested, send us information, cad drawings, cost , market ect.. If you know hwta the chassie should be like and you can get us one, we will make one up when we gwt time and send it off to you, and you can test it out. we really dont have a bg interest in zip zap's but if the ppl need the chassie and we can make it what the heck.

I can't spare a chassis (only 1). Anyone destroy theirs yet that send the chassis off (look at it this way you get a better one in return from them)? You guys with the super fet versions would be perfect to judge just how well a better chassis would help (corner roll/etc at those high speeds).
