I'm totally diggin' the modifer wheel mod. I just got a modifer set for christmas and since its a car a really dont like (ford focus) i figure i'd scrap it for parts. I know HirotoR34 has done some insane mods with modifer rims and i'm very impressed with how they came out. But i was wondering how well the modifier rims perform. I've done a full size wheel mod to my bit using a pair of ZZ rims off some ZZ axles and it rides like its on rails. Is turning an issue with the Rims??? How well do they stay on the "wheel holder". I'd really like to get a set on my SE and bit. thanks for the input.

HirotoR43: In your post with your slammin AudiTT SE with the black modifier rims, you mentioned that the baclk ones did fit to well, but then you added some silver ones on. You then mentioned it drove better after you glued them on. WHat do you mean you glued "them" on??? Did you glue the Metal wheel to plastic holder??? Thanks again.

Yeah, I used 3M heavy duty cement because it won't snap when jarred like super glue. It's got a little flex to it. The only prob with using modifier rims is getting them to clear the body. I try not to lower the car too much, and sometimes not at all. The best bodies to use with these rims are the WRX, the Evo, and the beetles. They have a little more fender room than most of the others. As far as performance, because they are heavier, you end up with more rotating mass and a slight decrease in performance. Also, the tires kinda bite (great for drifting though). I like to use two sets of bit rears, glued to the rims for better traction.
If you have an old chassis laying around, I would suggest trying them out on it before you mess with your good sleds. If you need a tutorial, I have one posted on my site.
