my steering is dead-----help !!!!

I have a first edition zip zap that the steering went dead on.
had it apart and the wires are connected , magnet is in place [and clean], when i operate the steering on the controller , if I hold the car to my ear I hear a click everytime I operate the steering control.
I am at a deadend , any pimps got some assistance , it is very appreciated.

recheck the steering wires. crossed somewhere maybe?

sounds like a mechanical prob. does it move freely when moved by hand? are the knuckles in place correctly? if you're hearing a click then i suspect the electrics is fine,there's just a physical hinderance. is the steering cover screw on too tight perhaps?

Thanks pimps, I got it repaired.spindles were jamming up .
{hands a 40 oz. to all who helped}
modding my ass off tonight.
painting , dual celling, adding exhuast tips,modding some wheels.
