Motors!!!

Post by EdIsMe »

ZZ Purple NX motor, Phast motor, Formula 34, R Spec II, or King 4.2? I'm going to do a dual motor in my ZZ and replace the steering motor with some motor with higher torque (maybe a cell phone vibrator).

From what i know the zz purple nx motor is the fastest, but I am not sure.
Let's settle this on tha blacktop-Ludacris

Red Supra, stage 2 motor (blue one), lights, custom chrome rims,
soft slick tires, some other body mods, and mudflaps, bling-bling heat sink(polished), weight reduction

welcome to da hood Ed...

I think if you read this thread, it might help you make a decision:

if you're looking to replace the steering motor, I doubt you want a "fast" motor as much as you want a motor with lots of "torque".

I don't want a fast motor for the steering. Cell phone vibrators are low rpm, high torque motors. They're designed to spin an unballanced weight block creating vibrating force. Also, cell phone vibrators are designed to handle 3.5 - 4v which is perfect for a 4v Li-ion. The dual engines in the rear will provide sufficient torque even if there is a nominal deficiancy of torque per motor and for thus I want the highest rpm motors I can get. Also, having the dual engines soaks up any over-volted stress because the stress is split between two motors.

if you're looking for highest rpm / torque, and not speed then why post most all the top speed motors?
that's where I drew my conclusions from - your post.
as I said, yea - torque would be better for this situation.

and your dual cell isn't going to soak up anything but run time on the se.

I'm looking for the fastest motor. I don't care about the run time because I'm not going to be using the stock battery. The high torque motor is a different story.

I think i know. The NX motor is only 3.4. The phast is like 4 some thing. I dont have a phast motor but they have faster motors than the NX. I have tha NX and i put it in my bit and it does go fst but its only 3.4. A 4.0 king is way faster.

don't be lured in by "on paper" stats. the 4.2 kings don't have the torque to push cars too fast in my experience. the zz nos is my personal fave.
i used to be cool
