ZZ suspension

Post by JDM-R34 »

Does it help to have suspension for ZZ's (not SE's) if You only drive on tracks or flat surfaces, does it help Your turning radius or is it just better to have on Bits with Big Tires and driving in dirt and outside on unsmooth surfaces.

Better suspension always helps but on a zip racing across smooth floors, I'ld say meh. Not really needed. :-)

sess is right, if the surface you're driving on consists of minor bumps like concrete, then springs are kings. on a perfectly smooth surface then i'd just go with the sway bar or nothing at all.

Do pen springs work good, or too stiff, whats the best springs to use or type of wire to make them out of?

Most pen springs I've tried were attracted to the magnet. I did find some mechanical pencils with springs that worked well. You're gonna have to search. :-)

ya i suggest springs over crappy plastic bars or "the staple mod" any day.

even a smooth flat floor is gona have bumps or something that will make your car go sidways if both sides are linked up by a stupid piece of plastic.

with dual cells and probably mosfets, id say springs are forsure a must.
