Switchable charging!

In tha light of all of this charging dual cells, i wanted to have direct current from the batteries in my stock charger and also be able to go back to the stock 45 sec regulated charge. I thought and thought and got nowhere and then a man with smarts helped me out. He gave me a switch with 6 prongs and the knowlegde to wire it up. I think it will work. If you're interested, i will draw up a ghetto-assed diagram in paint :D

EDIT: typing too fast..

yea sure - you're in da hood - go ghetto, but does this require like 4-6 batteries to be chunkin off the controller?

nah nah, its using the same (stock) batts for everything. Switch it to one side and get the batts unrestricted (for charging dual cells) and then switch it to the other side to return to stock controller settings (to drive) and then to the middle to completely cut the batteries off (doesn't waste battery). Now i gots ta make a dual cell car... :D

aight, so i soldered everything to the switch today and ordered some stuff from qfm...should be all setup for some ass-kickin speed. Man, micro B motors get so old after awhile... :?

Yep, i am impatient so my soldering job looks like hell to the 3rd. It's all right though. my motto: if it works, then what the hell...

yah, if i remember, i will get pics after i get home today. Man, if i had some real copper strand wire this would be much easier. I'm using solid core....its sucking so hard..

"snap" is right...4 of the wires at once did that...i might just have to go get some reguar wire :? Bah, we don't have a radioshack or anything on my island...maybe the hardware store...poop.

Well RS seems to be no help there anywhoo, been to 3 in my area and none had a small enough gauge, and the smallest is solid core too :(

I'm thinkin maybe an electrical house, or like you said maybe the HW store...

Buy an extension cord made for the power jacks in a computer hard drive, and use the wires from that. You should get two black wires, a red wire, and a yellow wire out of the deal. It's about the same wire that's used in bits.
