BCG TX innards to SBCG TX

Post by mikirgra »

So basically, I want to try to swap the board from an old BCG TX in to a SBCG TX body. Why? Because I like the feel of the SBCG controller over the BCG. I have enough spare TX's that I should be able to create SBCG style TX's for all my 27,35,45,57 mhz cars.

Has anybody done this? If not, I guess I'll be the Guinea pig.

Yes, I've done it. I like the results. The superbit chassis seems more stable then the older chassis. The cars don't have as much pull to one direction on acceleration. I think it's lighter too, but that's probably just cunjecture as I've never weighed them.
Cause I ride around town on my low-rider bicycle.

HR, I wasn't clear I guess. What I'm working on is actually swapping the innards of a BCG controller to the SBCG controller housing. I like the SBCG controllers over the BCG controllers, so I'm going to try to make SBCG controllers out of all my old BCG controllers. Does that make sense?
