Umm, Slick, I think there's quite a few of us that would be interested in checking out your tires. I know I never quite found the perfect tires for my alloys. ;)

dem alloys made it here too

i definately think you could do a shock there, even if the shaft protrudes out the top a little when compressed.

dope rides ya showin me there peeps...

nice body work and paint jobs - much respect guys...

awright, time for a small update on my progress...

ground clearance is now at 5mm...that should be enuff for a buggy...

Image

...i have to correct rear axle...it´s slighty lower than the front...so ground clearance at the rear is bout 0,5mm less than at the front...but it´s not such a big deal to correct that...

here´s the suspension in action...the upper pic show the chassis not stressed...the action on the rear is already correct and satisfying, but the front isn´t "stressed" at all...well it´s because the extra weight of the components such as servo, reciever, body and lipo isn´t included yet.

i put 40 euro cents (thats 16,4g) on the chassis as a temporary substitute for the missing components to see what happens to the overall suspension action when it´s under this weight...

i´d say that´s very much satisfying for the time being...
...huh?...

...

here´s some news on my progress for you guys...

i´ve been tinkering around with electronics and i hacked a servo and turned it into a ESC for my buggy...

after doin so...i took it for a little test drive to see how the suspension is doing...

here´s the link to the video :

http://dl1.rapidshare.de/files/1917198/ ... Drive1.mpg

unfortunately i cant direct link the vid...
for those who need instructions...heres how to download the vid...

-click the link above...
-scroll down page and select "free" download
-again, you will de relinked to a page with a timer...it´s set to countdown for about 60sec.
-after countdown is done...the actual link will be shown at the bottom of the page
-click that link and start downloading

what do you guys think about the chassis dynamics ?

i know that the front suspension is not perfect yet...it gets stuck once in a while...don´t worry...that will be fixed soon.

about the RC-Components...i think i have to buy some components from mikroantriebe.de because the ones i have here are waaaay too big for my buggy...i guess i wont be saving any money if i want this project finished...

A solution?

There's Betty.k's idea with the I-waver, but that might be too tall.

Then there's this thread from TinyRC http://www.tinyrc.com/forums/showthread ... adid=14802
Full propo using airplane electronics and a Li-Po. But that might be too tall, as he said there was a problem finding a body that would fit.

here´s antother clip - about 2MB size
http://rapidshare.de/files/1939785/Side ... p.mpg.html

the second one is interesting in my opinion....
