steering cable help needed!!

aiight i think this has probably been asked before but anyways...
I accidently unsoldiered the steering for right turns. How do i strip the coating off the wire so that i can resoldier it? any help appreciated. thanks.

just touch the coating with a hot soldering iron and it should melt the coating away pretty quick. Be careful not to melt too much away or you might start touching bare metal with the other wires in the car and that's not good at all..good luck!

I use an Xacto blade and sandwich the end of the wire between the sharp part of the blade and my thumb and pull gently, just scraping the coating off.
