This is only my 3rd mod on a micro RC. Thats sad, isn't it?

Well I do have a question. I think it should go faster than it does. its not much of a increase over stock. I followed the tut by Cabo.

My goal is to have it pop wheelies, I moved the 2nd batt to the back instead of the center like it was, so that may help.

Also with the charger like it is(batt hooked straight up to the battery charger) is it possible to over charge the batteries?

Here is a few pics, I found out how to use macro mode on my camera.

1240 posts on the board yet only 3 mods on a micro? :-?

Might have something to do with your batteries being in Parallel. Great for runtime, not speed.

You'll notice on Cabos' tut that you referenced, he has both wires coming off the new battery going to the same side of the existing one, and there is an Insulator added between both leads going off the new batt.

Batteries are in SERIES. Image

They are in series. Maybe its faster than I think and I just don't notice it.

Alright. I feel like a moron. I had the batts hooked up to where they were actually just shorting them self, that explains why it wasn't any faster

I got it working now, it flies! Needs a longer wheel base, lol.

Thanks for the help.

Maybe too your batteries suck.
I've done this mod many times and always, my 150 mAh batteries were more powerful.

 So, um, working any better for ya?

Here I thought you were just going for runtime, not trying to blow up the added cell. Hope ya didn't fry the aft mounted battery.

No I didn't fry it. It works great. and is fast as hell. I'm hoping project DBee 5 will be a bit more controllable with the longer wheel base.
