Im thinkin of a 1/24 scale mini dragster. I have access to electrics, acrylic plastic, perspex, bench drill etc.
any ideas peoples? :?

dunno what motor or gearbox to use. Cant afford the mamba cos im savin up for a laptop. This needs to be fairly cheap

sounds like it's time for you to do less posting and more reading, there's lotsa info here :-)

I'd recommend a very low turn brushed motor so it stops faster. The way 1:10s are set up, it's simply a servo with a microswitch that sends power straight to the motor.

Just use an MR02 rearend.
