Scalpel

I dunno if any of you guys have seen it, but Robitronics came out with a 1/18 pan car not too long ago and I've been watching it ever since. And now that they've come out with a 6-cell conversion it's on my to-get list.

can you imagine this thing with a high power brushless motor in it? it would simply obliterate anything else out there.

They have sold a few at the track I go to but none have shown up to race. I was wondering how it would do against it's main competition the BRP Super Car V2.

wierd.. cars like this should be hitting the track almost as fast as they come out.

At least up here we have an 1/18 open class. and by open I mean running modified chassis covered by pancar bodies with brushless/3Slipo powering them. They may as well call it the unlimited class.

im loving these 1/18th cars

we dont have an oficial track as such but me and a few mates run around in a indoor track we made for 18th scale racers and 10th scale drifters

i was thinking about getting one of these scalpel's although i dont think our track is quite big enough

even my m18 pro with 5400 mamba and a 6 cell is crazy fast in this track doing about 11sec pass's

The scalpel is cool. But after a lot of research the BRP Will kick its arse all over the place.

Throw a 6800 on with an 11.1v lipo pack and you'll see speeds that are easily twice that. :)

weve had a play around with 8000k on 7.2v lipo and that was just way too insane

track is not quite large enough, heres some pics of our local mini setup

I love the banged up fron ends, it shows your runing hard. Oh yeah and of course no track s complete without a wooden horse on the backside. :-o

why the stratus and mazda bodies so popular? to me they look kind of like jellybeans.

From what I've been told they are the most neutral handling bodies. Not excessive in front or rear downforce.

Personally I'd rather have a wedge body on. The faster I can rip through the corners, the better.

what are shoes? we wear pluggers alot :) (whos the first person to ask me what they are?)

we find the mazda and dodge bodies give us the most most equal downforce, as mentioned before

pan car body would be cool but the tack just isnt fast enough for them
